About Aunt Minnie’s Farm

Aunt Minnie’s Farm is a long-term project to bring a historic farm in Rostrevor back into active and significant use. It is rooted in place, guided by family connection and shaped by a belief that land should be cared for in ways that benefit both community and future generations.

Aunt Minnie’s Farm began as a real farm located on real land with a real connection to the area.
The project is focused on restoring and repurpose the farm in a way that respects and pays honour to its past while creating a future role for the site within the Rostrevor area.

The future includes better use of the land, stronger links to local produce, opportunities for people to reconnect with nature and a development approach that supports wellbeing, rural jobs and local pride.

Aunt Minnie’s Farm is being developed in phases and transparency is vitally important to us. That means progress is practical, visible and grounded in what can responsibly be achieved over time to ensure this is a farm for everyone.

A place with roots
This project is shaped by personal and family connection. That rootedness matters because it explains why protection, continuity and long-term care sit at the heart of the vision.

A working vision
The aim is to create a place where farming, food, nature, wellbeing and community all come together and contribute to the local economy.

A phased approach
Aunt Minnie’s Farm will continue to evolve over time. For that reason, clear progress updates as it develops.
